When you're interviewing a job applicant, you should not be looking for reasons to employ the person - they're doing a great job selling you on all those reasons. You should be looking for reasons to NOT employ the individual! Only when, no matter how hard you look and probe you can't find any, do you then consider making an offer of employment.

The task of recruiting people is significant in its strategic impact if you get it wrong. Financially, if you make the wrong decision, depending on the position it could cost the company up to five times the position's annual budgeted salary! Not to mention the impact on the morale of the department and possible emotional fallout for both the new employee and the co-workers.
